We have received a lot of questions about the product called MonaVie.

The MonaVie is a blend of at least 18 different ingredients. So it is not 100% acai…far from it. So it is not appropriate to compare it to other products that contain mostly pure acai berry and little else in the way of additional ingredients.

Although they list acai as the first ingredient, the actual amount of acai in the product could be very small, but we don’t know because unfortunately, the company does not disclose how much acai is in their product. In addition, the product is very expensive.

So MonaVie is not a product that fits our criteria for potency, purity and price.

The other issue is that the product is part of a multi-level sales plan. Products that are part of multi-level sales plans often are very expensive, so that the company can afford to pay many levels of sales commissions for the muli-level sales agents.

For purity, potency, and price the Perfect Acai is far and away our top choice among all the various products.

In Brazil, they don’t eat the seed. They make jewelry out of it or feed it to pigs or other livestock.

When I see an acai product that uses the seed or pit, which is sometimes listed in the ingredients as “endocarp”, I avoid that product.

In my opinion including the seed is just a way of increasing a company’s profit margin at the expense of the consumer. There is no significant nutritional value to the seed that I am aware of and it no doubt tastes awful, unless it is disguised with other flavors.

There are many problems with the Free Acai Berry offers that we all see advertisements for all over the search engines and in our email boxes as spam. Remember, this problem is not just with acai berry free offers, but other free offers as well.

Here is what happens:

1) person sees an ad for free product.
2) person clicks on ad to get the free product.

6) when the person tries to cancel future orders it is almost impossible to get through on the customer service number or to find an email address.

The companies doing this usually claim that they disclosed the so called “auto-shipments” but the problem is that they really did not. A “customer” would have to had found the link for “terms” or “terms and conditions” on the website to find out these messy little details. The problem is that most people don’t read this “fine print”.

If the company offering the “free” product wants your credit card just to charge for shipping, chances are you are going to pay for a lot more than just shipping.

Usually the companies offering these free offers that quickly turn into monthly automatic shipments of products do not clearly disclose what they are doing. Generally they disclose this information in the fine print which may be labeled “Terms” or “Terms and Conditions,” you know, the stuff nobody reads.
