Add Pure Organic Freeze Dried Acai to Food

September 10th, 2009 by admin

You can add freeze dried acai berry powder to a number of foods. I do this everyday with things like sliced bananas, oatmeal, cereal, organic ice cream, and more.

Here’s an oatmeal idea for breakfast.

Cook the oatmeal the normal way. Just before it’s finished, add some cinnamon and some wild blueberries. Frozen blueberries are fine. I prefer the wild blueberries if you can find them since they are usually sweeter and have a higher amount of antioxidants than cultivated blueberries. Stir it up and put it in the serving bowl. Add milk. Then open up a few Perfect Acai 100% pure organic acai berry capsules and sprinkle the powder from the capsules over the oatmeal. Add some agave nectar as a sweetener and stir it together. It’s delicious. Give it a try…I’ll bet you love it.

Perfect Acai capsules are great for this because:

1) The capsules contain 100% pure organic freeze dried acai and nothing else.

2) Freeze dried acai preserves the nutritional potency of this highly perishable fruit, so when you use freeze dried you know you are getting the full nutritional benefit.

3) The Perfect Acai is priced better than any comparable competitors (Actually, there aren’t many comparable competitors).

4) There is an advantage to using the powder from the capsules. Freeze dried acai powder is my favorite most convenient way to use acai. But remember, once exposed to oxygen the freeze dried powder can start losing it’s potency. So the trick is to keep it refrigerated if you can, and minimize it’s exposure to oxygen. That’s why the capsules are so great. In capsule form, the acai powder gets significantly less exposure to air and oxygen so the acai powder in the capsule is protected. It maintains its potency much longer than if it was just in a jar or container which would get opened and closed repeatedly.

You can order Perfect Acai Organic Freeze Dried Acai Berry Capsules on this blog/website.

Our favorite product Perfect Acai is an acai supplement in capsule form made of pure organic freeze-dried acai berry powder.

Note: Perfect Acai contains 120 capsules of 500 mg of acai berry while most comparable competitors sell 60 capsules for about the same price.

How Perfect Acai Just Got Even Better!

June 20th, 2009 by admin

We’ve always felt the product ‘Perfect Acai’ was one of the best acai products in the world and certainly the very best value. But now that product has gotten even better.

Previously, Perfect Acai product used 100% organic freeze-dried acai that was supplied by the Sambazon company which is an excellent company and one of the best acai suppliers in the world. But now Perfect Acai is being supplied by EarthFruits, a terrific company and, in our opinion, the very best of the best!

So Perfect Acai now contains pure, organic freeze-dried acai from EarthFruits! As before, there are no other ingredients in this product…no filler, no carrying agents. Just AUTHENTIC freeze-dried acai berry. The real thing…the pure stuff.

EarthFruits supplies high quality freeze-dried 100% organic, fair-traded acai which we think is the absolute highest quality available anywhere. The company uses the latest technology and minimal processing plus they freeze the berries within 12 to 18 hours of harvesting in order to capture the full potency of the berries.

Acai berries from EarthFruits have among the highest ORAC values of any acai fruit anywhere and tests at an ORAC of 700 per gram. That’s an ORAC of over 30,000 per bottle!

Here are a few interesting additional facts about EarthFruits:

1) They are based in the Amazon.
2) They are located in Para, Brazil in the heart of the acai harvesting region.
3) They are committed to conserving the rainforest and supporting the economic development of the people of the region in Para, Rondonia and Amapa (all in Brazil).
4) They deal directly with the local farmers, not with middlemen.
5) They engage in fair-trade practices which improves the lives of the locals.

What this means to you is when you buy Perfect Acai, you receive the highest quality and most nutritionally potent organic freeze-dried acai available. You can get more information about EarthFruits on their website EarthFruits website.

And by the way, you may have noticed that our company is now proudly accredited by the BBB (Better Business Bureau). With all the nonsense that has gone on in the last year with phony free acai offer scams, bogus celebrity endorsements and outrageous health claims, we have always done our part to warn the public away from all these marketing gimmicks. And we have always provided our website visitors with accurate, non-hyped information. And we are happy that the BBB has honored us with accreditation.

Thanks for visiting!

The New York Times Article on Acai

March 13th, 2009 by admin

Sometimes the media makes me crazy. Let me restate that…the media usually makes me crazy. Yes, even The New York Times which is probably the best newspaper in America, maybe in the world. But the fact is, they too get a lot of stuff wrong. Don’t get me wrong. I read the New York Times regularly but sometimes they just make me nuts. They made me nuts when they failed to do the necessary due diligence about the WMD allegations in Iraq before the war…and when they did failed to warn investors about the massive positions banks were taking in highly leveraged derivative investments called credit default swaps, which Warren Buffet called financial WMD’s years ago. And which, by the way, the TV show 60 Minutes did a warning about, way back in 1995. 60 Minutes said at the time that credit default swaps could bring down the whole financial system. Too bad the regulators and politicians did not watch that show. The present economic disaster could have been avoided! Good reporting can change everything, especially when people pay attention. The “theory” of freedom of the press was a terrific idea. OK Stop Me! OK…on to the subject at hand… Anyway, now the paper has done what is, in essence, an unfair hit piece on acai berry. Here is a link to the article… New York Times article on Acai.

The piece is mostly negative from top to bottom talking about companies that make unsubstantiated health claims, that use celebrity photos without permission in order to mislead people into thinking those celebrities are endorsing their products, and, of course, a discussion of the phony free trial offers which are, in fact, widespread.

They did no significant discussion of the well documented positives about acai berry on which so many smart people agree. There was no mention of companies, like ours, who have been beating the drum louder and longer than anyone about the phony free acai berry offers (read the Consumer Alerts section of this blog) or the phony celebrity endorsements and whose marketing is always accurate, fair and honest. I just think The New York Times did a terrible disservice to their readers with their one-sided, unfair negativity. Will they do a hit job on blueberries next? Yikes…

Here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to open up some Perfect Acai capsules and sprinkle about a teaspoons worth of that delicious organic freeze dried powder over a dish of my homemade organic vanilla ice cream, a nightly ritual with me. And then I’m going to turn on the TV and watch the best financial commentary on television…from Jon Stewart on The Daily Show!

Brazil Music Classics | Acai Berry

February 5th, 2009 by admin

Here is a piece of classic Brazilian music from back in the 1960′s when the new samba sound hit the music scene in a big way, no doubt as a result of the huge hit song “The Girl From Ipanema” performed by the late saxophonist Stan Getz and Brazilian Singer Astrud Gilberto. Here is Gilberto with another great classic from that era. We’re going to post a lot more musical gems from Brazil including some of great contemporary stuff too. Suggestions and ideas are always welcome. Let us know your favorites in the comments section!

Watch Resveratrol on 60 Minutes | Could Resveratrol Increase the Risk Some Cancers?

January 29th, 2009 by admin

Watch Resveratrol story on 60 Minutes | Does Resveratrol Increase the Risk for Breast Cancer?

For those who haven’t followed the evolving news on resveratrol over the past few years, it is an interesting story. Here is the video from the 60 Minutes TV show on January 25, 2009 for some background.

We’re going to do a lot more reporting on the resveratrol subject in the future but a quick word of caution first. To us, it looks way too early to run out and start taking this substance in supplement form. There are many unresolved issues. Here are a few questions:

1) Which kind of resveratrol to take?
2) What dosage is correct?
3) Can too high a dosage do damage?
4) Which products are reliable?
5) Some products have failed to live up to there stated ingredients. Which ones?
6) Resveratrol acts like estrogen in some ways. Does this mean it could increase the risk of breast cancer and other cancers.

Come back for more information on this subject. In the meantime, let us hear from you in your blog comments.
