If you ever wondered how acai berries are harvested, here is an interesting video. The process is very labor intensive and it is probably a bit dangerous too. Someone has to climb up a palm tree and break off the branches with the berries. Then they must shimmy back down the tree with the fruit. Once safely on the ground the berries must be removed from the branches. Then its back up the tree they go for more berries.
